seven days, five at the house, two in the desert.

For the rare weeks of the year when we take the boards beyond Sidi Ifni. Five nights here, two in the dunes. Below, in three passages: the house, the departure, the desert.

five nights to enter the rhythm.

The first five nights are the reference stay, without quite being it: you know you're going to leave. Breakfast at seven, surf at eight, Lalla Khadija's lunch, the empty afternoon. But you also prepare the gear, check the boards, watch the swell forecast.

The desert isn't decided lightly. We open this format only four or five times a season, around the great autumn and spring moons, when conditions to the south line up. The date is announced three weeks ahead.

friday at midday, we load the 4×4s.

Two hours of track south, beyond Sidi Ifni. The landscape changes: the green cliff becomes stone, then sand. We reach a camp near Foum Assaka in the late afternoon, and pitch the tents while there's still light.

The first evening in the desert, we dine around the fire. There's no signal, no light but ours, and the sea you hear without seeing. We take four people, never more — it's what keeps the camp bearable and the reef honest.

three hours of tide, a wave few people know.

Saturday is given to the reef. The window is short — three hours around the tide — and we spend it in the water or watching. The rest of the time, we walk the dunes, sleep in the shade of the 4×4, wait for the late light.

Sunday, we pack up slowly and drive home along the coast, stopping for lunch somewhere. No one talks much on the way back. It's the only one of our formats that leaves a physical trace — salt, sand, and a tiredness that takes a week to lose.

The format begins on a Monday evening in Mirleft and ends on the Sunday on the way back from the desert. Five nights at the house, two under canvas. 4×4 transport, bivouac and desert equipment included, along with meals, drinks and service. Four people, around the great moons.

The date depends on the moon and the swell; we announce it three weeks ahead. Write us to join the list.
